Welcome to the Joint Annual Meeting 2025
SSI, SSHH, SSTTM in Interlaken!
Dear colleagues
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, we are pleased to cordially invite you to the Joint Annual Meeting 2025 of the Swiss Society for Infectious Diseases SSI, the Swiss Society of Hospital Hygiene SSHH, with fibs | SIPI, and the Swiss Society for Tropical and Travel Medicine SSTTM.
This three-day event will take place from Wednesday, September 24 to Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Congress Kursaal Interlaken.
The meeting will begin on Wednesday with two dedicated events: the SSHH Symposium and the SSI SAFE-ID Postgraduate Course. The day will conclude with a joint SAFE-ID Session, followed by an Apéro Riche, to which all participants are warmly invited.
Thursday and Friday will feature an engaging scientific program including joint and parallel sessions, hot topics, and satellite symposia. The Scientific Committee, with representatives from all three societies, is pleased to present a high-quality and diverse program starting with the first joint session on the importance of public communication during a pandemic, then planetary health when climate and infectious diseases interact in a co-dependent manner.
The meeting pays also particular attention to the following topics:
- antibiotic stewardship here and away with insights from humanitarian medicine
- innovation in infection prevention or community-acquired pneumonia
- neglected (non)tropical diseases
- sexually transmitted infections on the rise
- pediatric infectious diseases and new vaccines in Travel Medicine
- then the usual and popular hot topics.
Our industry partners will also be present on site, offering valuable opportunities for interaction and the chance to learn about the latest developments and innovations in their fields. We extend our sincere thanks to them for their generous support, without which this meeting would not be possible.
A special highlight will be the Networking Event on Thursday evening, September 25, held at the Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant. Situated high above Interlaken, it offers spectacular views and a unique setting for relaxed conversations and new connections.
